Graphic Design Coordinator

Dawit Ayana (he/him), originally from Ethiopia., has lived in Seattle for over 24 years becoming part of Seattle’s history and now, always will be.

Dawit is a self motivated and super creative individual who has a Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice from Washington State University, has been a valet, a business owner at Dawit’s Creative Studio, a city bus driver, and an aspiring software developer. Dawit also enjoys outdoor activities like long-boarding, biking, racing, hiking and site seeing his beautiful city of Seattle and loves the water.

Challenging and addressing the systemic racism of the institutions of transportation and policing and to improve the circumstances of those most impacted by those systems are what motivates Dawit. Witnessing the negative impacts and harmful practices of parking and traffic light fines, excessive policing, gentrification, rental increases and homelessness has led Dawit to join Whose Streets? Our Streets! (WSOS) and to be a youth and family navigator with East African Community Services.
